KNKI – A Free Adult Chat & BDSM Dating App

I came across this very robust app today for folks looking for a walk on the wild side and am VERY impressed!

What surprised me the most is that this app is available on the iTunes walled garden store which is usually the place to get G-Rated apps and games and not the place I expected to find a kinky dating app created for folks in the bdsm and alternative sexual lifestyle community. Hat’s off to KNKI for creating this app to remain in compliance with the Disney values of Apple, but provide a place for people interested in exploring the world of bdsm and kink with other likeminded people in an Apple-approved app that eliminates the usual concerns of off-platform apps that may or may not be safe for your device or personal privacy.  Kudos!

After a very fast download  and installation, I went on to the profile setup section.  It was quite easy to navigate, but my one suggestion would be a desktop computer site where one could log in, more easily type than on a phone, and upload photos not on my mobile device.  Otherwise, great functionality on this.

Exploring the actual use of KNKI I was impressed!  The KNKI BDSM dating app gives full social media capabilities. Use KNKI app to follow your friends’ activities, search hashtags, and comment on their latest fetish and kinky photos. In their words, “Unlike mainstream social networks, you don’t have to worry about your vanilla friends perving your profile or commenting on your kinks.”  Hooray for that!

Another very impressive feature is the amount of total control users have in what they share with others.  Users may display their pics publicly, or unlock them privately only to people they choose. “Chat one-on-one, or comment publicly on member posts and photos. Add status updates and join events so people know what you’re up to. Or, discretely browse profiles of lifestylers in your area.”

In addition to the actual app, KNKI has a robust and growing desktop site that has a few interesting features.  One is “KNKI Uncovered” in which users may submit longer stories, their experiences in the BDSM community, additional photos and more. As this is a brand new app, I’m not sure where these submissions will show up on the app, but time will tell as this great app builds steam!
